Reverend Dr. Leonard Earl White is of the parentage of the late Reverend Lonnie and late Gladys White. He is a native of California, and received his education in the Los Angeles School System. He is a graduate of the Fuller Theological Seminary, from which he obtained his Master of Arts Degree in Theology and Bible Believers Christian College and Seminary from which he received a Bachelor of Theology and Doctor of Ministry. Rev. White, who is also a musician has worked with many choirs throughout the city. Prior to his call to the Holy Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, he served as the Minister of Music and the Assistant Pastor for the Mount Hebron Missionary Baptist Church where the late Rev. L.H. Kennedy was Pastor. On April 5, 1987, Rev. White became the Pastor of Holy Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church. He is an outstanding gospel preacher and teacher who is deeply concerned for the welfare and salvation of each individual.

Sis. Frankie Johnson-White is of the parentage of Deziree A. Johnson and the late Frank Lee Johnson. She is also a native of California and received her education in the Los Angeles School System. She is a graduate of Pepperdine University from which she obtained a B.A. degree in English in 1969; a B.A. degree in music in 1971; and a Master of Arts degree in education in 1974. Sis. Johnson-White is also a musician and has played for many churches throughout the city. She has served as the Minister of Music for Holy Mount Calvary for approximately 47 years. Rev. and Sis. White were joined in holy wedlock June 30, 1979. They have one daughter, Minister Franchesca Leonore White.

Franchesca received her formal education from Mt. St. Mary’s College, and Union College Institute and University. She is a dedicated employee of the Los Angeles County Office of Education. She’s an ordained associate minister, as well as, an intricate part of the music ministry of Holy Mount Calvary. Among her many accomplishments, her most recent accolades garnered her participation in Don B. Welch’s gospel stage production, “Walking By Faith,” starring Kelly Price and Jackee’ Harry. Thus, making this her fifth appearance at the Wilshire Ebell. In January of 2015, Fran released a gospel compilation cd entitled, “Just Fran,” featuring a collection of songs she has recorded with family and peers. Every singing, preaching, or acting opportunity she has accepted has accelerated her even closer to her God-given purpose; to reach those who might never step foot inside the sanctuary.
