Bible Study

Bible Study classes are held every Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m.and are open to all. Pastor Leonard E. White takes the members and visitors through a structured study of The Old and New Testaments: book by book, and chapter by chapter.

Through studying the Bible experiences, individuals learn and grow in the knowledge of God’s Word. Students are taught that the Bible was written so that they might know and love God. They learn that the Bible is the primary revealer of God, and that there is no better way for God to be revealed to them than through the study of the Bible. Students attending Bible Study discover divine truths that can be applied to their lives today, as they learn how the Bible spoke then, and is continuing to speak to us now. They are encouraged not to simply look at the Bible objectively, from the outside looking in. But to look at it subjectively, to get inside and look around!

Bible Study at Holy Mt. Calvary is a good way to find God personally, and allow God to find you. Not only do the students learn about the Bible, but they are encouraged to get involved with the Bible and the God of the Bible.

Sunday School

Under the leadership of Superintendent Evan. Mary Daniels, Church Sunday School meets every Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. It is composed of classes from preschool to adulthood. We encourage you to visit our Sunday School Resources section for information about weekly bible lessons!

The Sunday School’s responsibility is to conduct formatted Bible study, as well as lead all church members and visitors to the task of worshipping, witnessing, learning and ministering daily. The classes are taught through lecture and discussion. Interpretative information regarding the work of the church is provided. But not only are hard factual data presented, but also opinions, feelings and attitudes are brought into the classes. Study of the lessons reveal the Scripture’s meaning in its own time and its meaning in our time.

Every 5th Sunday is Super Sunday, where students of the Sunday School are encouraged to invite guests to attend. A token of appreciation is given to the member who has the most guest in attendance on that Sunday.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School Vacation Bible School

Each July, the Sunday School sponsors a week long Vacation Bible School for members and visitors from the age of preschool through adulthood. The program is held during the month of May, and the themes vary from year to year.

Each night there is a group opening activity. Afterwards the gathering breaks up into classes based upon age. Snack time is also included for the attendees. VBS is fun for the entire family. Just because you’re a Christian, doesn’t mean you can’t have fun!
